Iguazu Falls, Brazil, The World largest Waterfalls!!! - Cataratas de Iguacu - Brasil

I want to bring you this another journey of mine! another fantastic place that God created to us...  The Iguazu Falls, or Iguacu falls. You can find loads of pages, websites, lists where is documented which and where are the largest waterfalls in the world, different criteria makes these lists vary...largest in height, in width, water quantity, etc, etc!!
Iguazu falls - Cataratas de Iguacu   I researched a bit to where some of those large waterfalls are and the access you have to feel and see its dimensions.. Not all of them allow you to do that, making it hard to enjoy and feel it...
I happened to have this holidays in Brazil, my wife home town and a few hours drive, there was this landmark, planned on the agenda!! The feedback from some people were wow's and fantastic's and other more used to this near home was more a part of the landscape... But I guess that goes to everyone of us, humans, tend to not give the value to what is near us, right??  Might be!!
But for me, everything was new and exciting and such a place, such a magnitude, was on my veins all day, the adrenaline!!

Iguazu falls - Cataratas de Iguacu Get ready people... This is MASSIVE!!  For some, its considered the largest waterfall in the world, and inspite of not been in any other one of this magnitude, I agree and believe on that classification, because only those who experience the distance walked and area covered by your eyes and feet, covering almost all the area of the waterfall... The facts says 2.7 kilometres width, but count this being spread through the landscape, and walk through trails along the sides of the river until you get to the core and middle of the waterfall...

Iguazu falls - Cataratas de Iguacu And, another detail, I visited the Brazilian side... This, because the river is the border between Brazil and Argentina, and both have all the region protected and adapted to tourism tours... And one thing I had in mind was if you are walking all and exploring on the Brazilian side and you can see all what you see on pictures, makes me think it must be the better side, because on the other side, you will be on top of the waterfall, and the other border will be just green, because its where we are walking...So not sure if you get that feel of the scale/size of the falls, and actually seeing them... you won't get this views in most places, that's for sure...
Now if its still worth it, might have to check for yourself, might be good too, both points of view!!  if you really feed the need of exploring both side, better you get some hotel booked on the waterfalls nearby hotels...
And so you don't go unprepared, few things you need to be aware... You will walk, a lot, going down, up, so confy shoes and fresh clothes because you also going to sweat, all this exercise all together with the heat and humidity... I looked like a waterfall too, dropping water non stop so be ready... Take for safe some repellent, if you don't want to buy expensively to the people who tries to sell to you as well as rain cover... in some cases when on the passerelle, the water spray leaves you soaked... To avoid that? Don't go there... But I wouldn't say that though, never...just because its all worth it...

The bridges/passerelle we are seeing on this images above are the Argentina side! A lot of different views of waterfalls that makes you think are different places, but its so you have an idea of how massive it is, how diversity of landscape it has!!! You will see more pictures with them, but in between you will see the Brazilian side of the waterfall, the passerelle/bridge in the middle of the waterfall...

This is the Brazilian side ( image below) where you end the trekking, into the tourist complex and where you have some shops and the lift/elevator to take you to the top and go home, or have a meal!!  But do make sure you walk in that bridge, the passerelle like they call, Where you will see almost 180 degrees of water around you falling... No recommendable to people with afraid of heights though... You might get soaked with water spray or not but it's still really nice!!

And a detail... this top image you have, it's located on the panorama below on the top far left, where all that water comes from... It's so you can see the area you have and I covered....

And to make your eyes pop, I am expanding these panoramas for you...just because it's you... and it's worth it , don't you think??
